In the wintertime, my soul was cold.
All seemed distant, untouched by God.
My world was dull, all blacks and whites
And muted grays.
The world held its breath.
Unfolding in spring, my soul refreshed,
I find my joy awakening.
Renewing life, a spark of fire
From Spirit’s love,
Proves God has found me.
In lush summertime, verdant and full,
My growing trust in God above
Becomes my joy, my very life.
In every corner.
Then, in autumnal grace-filled aging,
My gratitude and peaceful joy
Gives calming warmth. My soul submits
My all to God
As seasons finish.
